If we actually upvoted and downvoted properly, we would get relevant info AND the actually funny jokes Hell I got 100 updoots recently making an tired, overused joke on a sub, when actual engagement rarely gets 10-20. Too many people are doom scrolling reddit upvoting jokes rather than engaging and participating in a dialogue. My most upvoted comment to this day was a short, effortless comment that was essentially a one sentence, humorously worded statement of agreement that I posted on a throwaway account. Meanwhile I’ve seen so many people downvoted simply for asking questions, like people use the downvoted button to answer with a “no” instead of outright saying “no”. It’s ridiculous. I’ve been here over a decade and I can’t remember a time where that wasn’t pretty present in basically every thread.

Phosphorous can run off into streams or lakes and causes massive algae blooms, which can have catastrophic problems for marine animals.
