Netflix has a reputation for being data-stingy. Even producers and showrunners have found it challenging to determine whether the target audience is being reached by the work they have produced. Regardless of your location, there are certain movies that created hype worldwide thanks to the immense actions and story lines of each story.
If you are looking forward to watching the jaw-breaking movies as of August, 2022, we have created a list containing the five most watched Netflix movies. Read on to find out:
1. Virgin River
A narrative about second chances is Virgin River. Following Melinda "Mel" Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a skilled nurse practitioner and midwife who packs up her life in Los Angeles to move to a remote mountain town in Northern California to start over after a string of traumatic heartbreaks, the touching medical romance is based on a series of novels by Robyn Carr. Mel wonders if she made the right decision to leave her life in Los Angeles behind because she now has a grumpy new boss (Tim Matheson) who doesn't want anything to do with her. This how the plot begins and take audiences through a thrilling journey till the end.
2. Keep Breathing
Although this is the name of a TV series, it also serves as a movie as it contains marvelous stories that you would love to enjoy. For instance, Melissa Barrera plays a young lawyer who is determined to come to Inuvik, Canada's Northwest Territories. Her plane crashes in the Canadian bush after taking a lift on a little Cesna. This six-part Netflix series chronicles her attempt to return to civilization while revealing why she came to Inuvik in the first place through a succession of flashbacks—often interwoven with whatever problem she's experiencing, as if neither scenario is enough to keep your interest. Get ready for a nail-biting experience.
3. Purple Hearts
A new Netflix movie called Purple Hearts has been climbing the streaming rankings. The love story now holds the top spot on Netflix's Top 10 list and just outperformed the action movie The Gray Man in terms of viewership, shattering a record set in 2022. The Gray Man, a film by The Russo Brothers, previously held the record with 96,470,000 hours viewed between July 25 and July 31. The movie with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans is still the most watched one on Netflix this summer. However, it could face some opposition when viewing figures are released the following week.
4. Carter
If you had to, would you not take risk to save your life and the lives of millions? With the answer Yes to this question, you must watch Carter. Not only does Carter (Joo Won) not know why the CIA operatives are in his face when he wakes up, but also has no idea of his location or even his own identity. However, he is aware of the presence of a strange voice in his ear, and he pays attention when the lady adds, "Please believe me if you want to survive." Enjoy the thrill and actions from here.
5. Uncharted
